Shelley Reid
As a highly experienced media executive, Shelley currently is Head of Business Affairs at Chicken Soup for the Soul Television Group where she oversees all aspects of scripted and unscripted development and production. Throughout her professional career, Shelley has held senior management positions at a number of leading television networks and studios in both business affairs and corporate strategy including MGM Television, Fox Television Studios, Food Network, Hearst Entertainment, Disney Channel as well as serving as US President of Green Pavilion.
Throughout Shelley’s busy professional career, she has been equally active in a variety of philanthropic and community activities. For 18 years Shelley served as a Governor of Otis College of Art & Design and for six years was Chair of the Otis College Annual Scholarship Benefit and Fashion Show as well as Founder of the President’s Fashion Council. Shelley is a member of the Professional Advisory Committee of the Motion Picture and Television Fund, the Leadership Advisory Council of the Association of Media and Entertainment Counsel and BAFTA. She has served as Executive Vice President of the Saban Clinic ( f/k/a Los Angeles Free Clinic) as well as a member of the Board of Directors of the United Cerebral Palsy Research and Education Foundation. She chaired the American Cancer Society’s California Spirit for three years (the largest fundraiser in support of the American Cancer Society in Southern California) as well as chaired the Los Angeles Art Association’s annual auction.
A graduate of USC Gould School of Law Shelley also holds an M.A. in Social Ethics and a B.A. in Religion and Philosophy also from USC. Shelley is the recipient of the Association of Media and Entertainment Counsel Founder’s Award as well as the Century City Chamber of Commerce Women of Achievement Award and is a frequent guest speaker for both educational and professional organizations with a special interest in topics relating to arts, culture and education.
