Caroline Lubick Goldzweig, MD, MSHS is the Chief Medical Officer for the Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Foundation/Medical Network in Los Angeles, California. In this role, she is responsible for strategic planning and implementation of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Network’s approach to quality, efficiency and safety; engaged in enhancing and optimizing the patient and provider experience; and responsible for standardizing and integrating the approach to care across the Cedars-Sinai Medical Network’s broad geography and range of medical practices. She joined Cedars-Sinai in September 2016 as the Medical Director for Quality and Clinical Performance, and previously served as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations and Informatics among other positions at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, where she worked for 21 years. Dr. Goldzweig is a general internist with health services research training and her interests are in improving quality and efficiency in healthcare and in leveraging electronic systems to enhance care delivery and the patient experience. Her research has involved evaluations of the relationship between electronic health record systems and quality of care. She received her B.A. in Economics from Cornell University, her M.D. from the University at Buffalo (SUNY at Buffalo), her M.S. in Health Services from UCLA; and, completed internal medicine residency and a health services research fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh and UCLA, respectively. Dr. Goldzweig is a Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
