Angela Larian

Angela Larian was born in Tehran, Iran, and moved to America right before the Revolution in 1978 at the age of 15. She is a sculptor whose work is predominantly large-scale and abstract figurative. She works with bronze, concrete, metal, and found objects. Drawing inspiration from the philosophies of Plato and Nietzche, as well as the poetry of Rumi and Hafez, her art encourages the viewer to transcend the limits of vision and creates a space in which the observer can perceive infinite meanings. Her sculptures are held among numerous private collectors, and she has received private commissions for large bronze and iron sculptures for outdoor spaces and gardens. She currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband and three kids.
