Heidi was born and raised in Los Angeles to parents who demonstrated community involvement and philanthropy. Heidi graduated from UCLA with a degree in Fine Arts, majoring in Graphic Design. Heidi and her husband Jon have been happily married for 28 years and are proud parents of Briana (Jeffrey) and Russell.
Heidi has been actively involved in the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles since 1993. She is past chair of Sylvia Weisz Women’s Philanthropy. Currently, she is Vice Chair of the Board of Directors as well as Chair of Ensuring the Jewish Future, Federation’s priority initiative focused on strengthening our Jewish community by engaging our youngest children, teens, college students and young adults. Heidi also sits on the Boards of The Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles, Jewish Federations of North America and National Women’s Philanthropy.
In 2001 Heidi received the Mildred Allenberg/Dorothy Handler Young Leadership Award, and in 2007, the Doris Factor Leadership Award. In 2017 Heidi received the Woman of Achievement Award from the American Jewish University.
She is a past board member of Camp Ramah in California, Sinai Temple and The Zimmer Discovery Museum.
