Ivana De Maria
Ivana De Maria (born Ivana Maria Moreno-Valle Diez-Barroso) was born in San Diego, California, raised in Mexico City and educated in Switzerland. After spending three years at Institut Le Rosey in Switzerland she moved to New york where she began working in Finance while also attending Stella Adler Acting School. In January 2011 she moved to Boston, MA where she completed a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Law at Boston University.
Since becoming a Los Angeles resident in August 2014, she has attended multiple acting schools including AADA, Ivana Chubbuck Studio, Anthony Meindl, Max Studios, The Actors House Studio and Diana Castle's the Imagined Life. As a true believer of creating your own content as an artist, she wrote, produced and starred in films such as like SWITCH HITTER (2015) and SOLILOQUY (2016), both of which have been official selection in many international film festivals and have won awards such as "Best Short Film" award at the International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinema in Nice, France.
As a fan of the arts and always eager to learn about different cultures, Ivana is now fluent in Spanish, English, French, Italian, and is on her way to learn Russian.
Ivana has specialized in Storytelling as a whole, writing producing, and acting for Film and Television and thus has starred in a number of independent films as well as TV shows such as LA PILOTO (Primetime Univision and Televisa). Currently, she is producing and starring in multiple new projects (Descontrol, Sr. Avila, The Best People) and is a series regular in the upcoming TV series "Beauty and the Beasts" (La Bella y las Bestias) which is set to air in Primetime Univison spring 2018.
A long with a partner, Ivana launched a production company in early 2017 called MARIAS FILMS. They have successfully completed their first feature film, THE GUEST, which is currently in post production and scheduled to be released in early 2018.
Currently, she is producing and starring in a set of independent feature films based on true stories about inspiring women.
Ivana is also developing a storytelling platform in the form of a mobile app called STORYPLACE, which is expected to launch in the app store in the Summer of 2018.
