Madeline Leonard spent her younger days traversing the world. Today, she is owner/director of CLOUTIER REMIX – Talent agency to which she has devoted herself for 30 years. She facilitates the worlds of celebrity, fashion and beauty.
Madeline was born in Caracas, Venezuela. In her early years she lived in Venezuela, Libya, Texas, Holland and Australia, before finally settling in London where she went to high school.
After graduating from college with a B.A. in Art Administration, Madeline launched a small clothing line. She studied textile design at Studio Art Centers International in Italy and French at the Université D'Angers in France.
In 1986 Madeline started at Cloutier Agency where she was entrusted to run operations and grow the agency.
Until then, New York and Europe showcased their work on models. California’s feature film and TV business on the other hand was serviced by union artists. These businesses occupied two distinct fiefdoms that rarely crossed paths. By forging relationships between the international beauty and fashion worlds with those of Hollywood, music and celebrities, Madeline fostered alliances that had never before existed.
Upon acquiring ownership of the Agency in 2009, Madeline re-launched it with a new name CLOUTIER REMIX.
“I originally spent a lot of time face-to-face with artists and clients, showing portfolios and so on. Today, our focus is much wider and more strategic . . . how best to reach clients in a crowded market, how best to showcase our artists' talents, how to facilitate lucrative and rewarding career extensions for already established artists.”
“For me,” concludes Madeline Leonard, “collaboration is the only path for great things. And that means establishing reciprocal understanding and empathy. I can see the artists' side as well as the clients' side. I’ve never lost the excitement that comes from being part of a creative venture.
