Sarvia Jasso was born in Mexico and raised in Los Angeles. She is currently a gallery director at Blum & Poe, which also has locations in New York and Tokyo. Jasso received her BA from UC Berkeley in Art History and Spanish Language and Literature, followed by a Master’s degree from Columbia University in Art History with a focus on Contemporary Art and Theory and Curatorial Studies. During her professional career, she has curated numerous exhibitions and performance events that explore subjects like gender, sexuality and the body. The importance of bringing together like-minded artists and forward thinkers is a driving force behind her curatorial and professional endeavors.
