Shelley Reid is a highly experienced media executive. Shelley is currently Executive Vice President of Television Business and Legal Affairs at MGM Studios. Prior to joining MGM, Shelley was Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy, Business Development and Business Affairs at Fox Television Studios, News Corp Company. During her career, Shelley has held senior management positions at a number of leading television networks and production companies.
A graduate of USC Gould School of Law with a Master of Arts degree in Social Ethics also from USC, Shelley is equally active in a variety of philanthropic and community activities. She is a Governor of Otis College of Art & Design and for the past three years has served as Chair of the Otis College Annual Scholarship Benefit and Fashion Show. Shelley is a member of the Professional Advisory Committee of the Motion Picture and Television Fund, the Leadership Advisory Council of the Association of Media and Entertainment Counsel and BAFTA. She has served as Executive Vice President of the Los Angeles Free Clinic (now the Saban Community Clinic) as well as a member of the Board of Directors of the United Cerebral Palsy Research and Education Foundation. She has chaired the American Cancer Society’s California Spirit for three terms as well as chaired the Los Angeles Art Association annual auction.
Shelley is the recipient of the Association of Media and Entertainment Counsel Founder’s Award as well as the Century City Chamber of Commerce Women of Achievement Award. Shelley is a frequent guest speaker for both educational and professional organizations with a special interest in topics relating to mentoring and women’s business and professional issues, particularly in arts and education.
